»  John Derbyshire's 20 Most Recent Published Pieces

20 Zone

Below is a list of the 20 reviews or opinion columns I have published most recently. Both print and internet pieces are included.

These are just convenience links to the items, which can also be found to by going to the Opinions or Reviews page and selecting the appropriate sub-category.

I used to make archive copies of all my pieces and post them here on my own website. Then during a long spell of illness in 2012 I got behind with archiving and never caught up. Nowadays most of the links here and at my Opinions and Reviews pages point to the web magazine where the piece was posted, e.g. to VDARE.com, not to the johnderbyshire.com archive copy.

There are some exceptions, mainly pieces that appeared only in print. In these cases there is a lapse of time before I archive a piece. That's just courtesy to editors, who want people to buy their magazines, not read my website. A one-month lapse is typical. For that month I just archive a "teaser," i.e. first couple of paragraphs.

[Note added May, 2013:  Twenty turned out not to be the ideal number. I just let the entries accumulate for a year or two there, but it got out of hand. The next experiment will be to try to hold the line at "last three months." Let's see how that goes.]
