The letters linked to from this page were written to me by my parents in 1975. I lived in Elmsford, New York until December, then moved to Valhalla, New York. I was working for Savin the whole year. For a two-week vacation in November I drove across the U.S.A., taking a northern route to San Francisco, then down to Los Angeles and back across the southwest and south before heading back up to New York.

• Birthdays:  My father was 76 in July, my mother 63 in March, my brother Noel was 45 in January, my sister Judith 32 in September. Judith's daughter Tessa, my niece, was 8 in September. I was 30 in June.

• Hatched, matched, detached, dispatched:  The main family event of the year was my sister Judith's return to England on January 7, following the break-up of her marriage with Allan Dailey. Allan stayed behind in Hawaii. Judy took their daughter Tessa back to England with her. At the beginning of May Judy and Tessa moved into a council house on the new-built Bellinge estate at the west side of Northampton.
  
  Nell Buckley, my mother's fourth sister, died April 15 aged 74 or 75.
