My darlings, John & Lynette & of course the little Princess.
I got your letter this morning John. The snaps are
lovely. She's just gorgeous & all I thought she would be.
Thank you John for the cheque, it is very generous of you & I'm very
grateful, but I don't want you to think you've got to send me money. As
long as I can meet the fee here
that's all I worry about & that you & your family are alright & in good health. I know Judys O.K. Now
she'll soon have
Marcus off her
hands. Of course I love them all as I do you & yours but they are here & you so far away. I shall get
Lynn to put the cheque in the bank on
Thursday, when she gets my pension & puts that in the bank. I buy very little, I like my daily paper & my hair
done occasionally.
Mrs Ives gets me any toiletries I need clothes don't
bother me now as long as I'm
clean & tidy. I live very simply & you know I don't get out, so I don't need much. It would grieve me if I
thought you had financial
difficulties & I was adding to the burden, just look after yourself & family, they need you more than I do. I
don't want to worry you
It is very cold & dreary here, thank God when Spring comes & the sun shines & gives a bit of warmth
There are no great changes here,
just the same old faces & the same grumbles & complaints, but apart from meals I don't see much of them, I
prefer my own company & my
little room, with my family round me. Judy came on Thursday & we had quite a pleasant hour together, watching a
word game on TV. I look forward
to your call & news, especially of the little one, she'll change so quickly now, you'll see from day to day. I'm
sure here sleeping habits will
settle down My love to Lynette, when does she have her post-natal check up Again, thank you both, I'm truly
grateful for your help, but
don't think you're under any obligation. I can go on for a while yet as things are. Love you all very much. Take care
of each other & that dear
little baby. Love her for me.
She's quite beautiful! As always
