This passport was issued on June 30th, 1999 by the British Embassy in Washington, DC. The format has changed from the old dark blue traditional British passport: it's smaller (3½ by 5 inches, not the old 4 by 6) and red. The personal identifying information is at the back, not the front. As well as declaring itself to represent the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, it also says "European Union" at key points, including on the front cover.
I did not make much use of it. In April 2002 I became a U.S. Citizen, and thereafter travelled on a U.S. passport.
The only travel recorded in the passport is our family trip to China, July-August 2001.
