My dear Son,
This is a copy of the letter received from "Mike Singleton[1] who
rang at week-end
& wrote you on the 16th.
[Dear John, I have a contract in London (City) with an earliest possible start date for a Team Leader with DOS, COBOL,
CICS at Macro level
experience. Please would you give me a call when you return from the States either in the Office on 01-2226722 or at
home after 7-00 pm & up
to approx 10.30 pm on 0306-67123 to discuss same. Hope you have had a good time in the USA. & look forward to
hearing from you.]
I thought I'd better send this on in case you wanted to reply. I told Mike &
Peter on the Phone you expected to be back early December.
Excuse scribble am writing this on my lap, sitting by the fire. It's cold & damp & drear.
Tess is better now & back to school yesterday. All is well here. I paid TV licence today as the BBC are making
noises to put it up to
£50 soon!! I hope Courtney did well in his exams. Give them all my love. I shan't write again unless something
very important occurs, so
see you soon. Take good care. Any developments re your book?
Lots of love
Mum & Dad.
