The letters linked to from this page were written in 1995. We were settled in Huntington, New York. My mother was in residential care at Lister House in Northampton, England.

• Birthdays:  My mother was 83 in March, my brother Noel was 65 in January, my sister Judith 52 in September. Judith's daughter Tessa was 28 in September; Judith's son Marcus was 18 in January. I was 50 in June. Our daughter Nellie was two years old in January.

• Hatched, matched, detached, dispatched:  Our son Danny (Daniel Oliver) was born on July 3rd. Harold, my mother's fourth brother, died in September aged 85 or 86.
