The letters linked to from this page were written to me by my parents in 1976. For all of this year I was living in Valhalla, New York, and working for Savin. For the last two weeks of June and first two of July, my mother came to stay with me at the house I shared with Jay Bodo.

The June 30th letter is the only one I have, of any date, from my father to my mother.

• Birthdays:  My father was 77 in July, my mother 64 in March, my brother Noel was 46 in January, my sister Judith 33 in September. Judith's daughter Tessa, my niece, was 9 in September. I was 31 in June.

• Hatched, matched, detached, dispatched:  My sister Judith married Philip Moore on August 24. Annie Littlehales, my Aunt Muriel's mother-in-law (who was also my Great-Aunt Leah's daughter, therefore my mother's cousin) died on August 29.
